I don't fancy 40 degrees and rain weather.

But check out the EPS Week 2 of April. Looks like we'll finally get warm.Though could be transient.

Heartbreaker storm up here.1.25 in the bucket with temps a few degrees within 32.Not even a compensatory snow shower today to console us up here.

Only silver lining is that all this rain and melting snow will bring the reservoirs to 100% for sure.

Ended around 12.5". Temps in the mid 30s since precip let off. Up to 85" on the season with more possibly Tuesday. Tough to accumulate even here this late in the season during the day.

April observations for semi future:

I usually miss out on the spring warmth because I am Southern Queens with the cool ocean to my south. However, when we have the warm wind from the west, like today, it can get quite nice. 63 degrees in nearby Floral Park and 65 degrees at JFK airport as of 4 PM. Not too shabby.

What a beautiful day we had yesterday with temps hitting a high of 61....beats the cold we had on Friday and Saturday and the 3.4 inches of rain my meter measured over those days

looks like NYC southern Westchester and coastal ct jackpots if you can say that with 2 .5 plus tonight alone with a round storms coming through late afternoon. this from 3km nam. so set go be closer to 5 inches combined with one behind it and that one showing strong winds with high Rivera already and saturated ground going cause flooding concerns and maybe so weak trees taken up. fun....wheres spring.

FLOOD WATCH issued for all of Northern NJ & the lower Hudson Valley.

I don't get why NYC is nitched out of the flood watch lol.

From the looks of models 12km nam especially I think thurs/fri rain storm is going to pose a possible sig. wind threat if they can mix down, 850mb winds are in the 55-65kt rahge sustained area for a huge area with system at 979mb right over us so we do dry out at one point too. Looking like sold 3-5 inches rain possible when all is said and done total both systems, where convection sets up may have higher amounts IMO.

Are we even still in  a drought? Even withall the precip we have been having, be it snow or rain? Havent paid attention to that. I know rivers are swollen so tonight could lead to some flooding if not then thursday could really be a fun day.  I will be inside with no windows so I will not have a clue whats going on Thursday from about 11-6.

Looks like nort western NY and central PA west may see a decent snow out of thurs/fri. Mike P. this ones for you, LOL
