Man, my heart is with Antigua & Barbuda right now. News sources report roofs already blowing off houses. Eyewall will soon move thru and I can't imagine what it'll look like tomorrow.

looks like the gfs is going to continue with the northern camp of the guidance. We will see if euro follows suit.

Total devastation I imagine, those poor souls. Possibly the strongest storm in the Atlantic basin ever.

This was an older clip of a tornado, not Irma in Barbuda today.
Right now the electricity has intentionally been turned off on the island country and folks have batten down the hatches for the night. Say a prayer for them. I was just listening to a live radio broadcast from Saint John's, but the feed went dead.

Slightly south at hr 60 likely because the ridge is a tad stronger. Trough also a bit deeper though

Re: Tracking Hurricane Irma
Should start the north turn soon at hr 78. Ridge backing off, also the ridge building around Texas should try and keep this east as well

Looks like it's east of 12z but west of 18z. Should be a GA/SC landfall coming up
