Mild and wet. With cold air showing up when most of us are ready for spring, as usual.

I don't think this warm pattern can hold another 6 months so I'm going with a good winter, at least 4 snowfalls of 6 or more inches with 2 of them pushing a foot. That's for you guys. In my neck of the mountains, I'm going to be watching a crap ton of Miller Bs giving you guys the snow I want for myself. What am I basing this on? Absolutely nothing but the idea that this warmth can't last forever. Can it?

LOL, Aresian, hopefully not forever, but it sure feels like it.I have trees with color, leaves falling down and it's almost 80 degrees.
I go with my gut with 57 years observing Fall and Winter patterns and that tells me absolutely nothing either, LOL.By Christmas time I usually get a good idea of what's going to happen.Way too early yet to make an educated guess.

The way I see it is why would you want a cold weather regime in October? There have been a couple of times in the past where we would have cold and snow in October; does the post Sandy snowstorm ring a bell, only to flip to a warm regime just in time for winter. Let it torch now then ease into a colder pattern come November and beyond.

ABSOUSLUTELY NUTS!!
Here is the EURO ens mean for Dec. Where does one sign
And we have LR forecast that has a PV perturbation late Oct that would lead the Nov turn around if it comes to fruition of course.

Mugs you're right, but I just wanted a normal October. I'm more of spring summer and fall fan and I feel cheated out lol.
