Steady light snow Nassau Suffolk border here on LI. Small flakes just started getting larger last few minutes. Everything covered in a fine dusting

25* here with a steady light snow falling. Not sticking on pavement yet, but if it picks up a little in intensity it should easily with these temps and the weak December sun.

Looking closely at the radar it looks like the heaviest returns stay just offshore of southern LI. Points from Sandy Hook in Jersey down to AC look to jackpot at 2-4” locally 5”. Here on the island I think the way the radar looks 2” will about do it unless I’m not seeing something. Hope I’m wrong.

Jimmy, saw the same thing.Looks to me like the storm has a more easterly than northern movement.Just an amateur observation.I'll be happy to get that NWS forecasted one inch from what I am seeing now.Hopefully we both get a surprise and this intensifies.

Just got to my office Xmas Party. Steady snow and 24* and all roads are snow and ice covered. Maybe up to 1.5" here. Driving was not easy as I think with rush hour traffic they aren't able to treat the roads right now.

I was dead on two hours ago Doc. Looks like another hour of snow and I’m just approaching 2”. Still a good week. Gonna be near 10” IMBY. Skins jackpot

It's a mess here people do.not know how drive also to compound things huge FBI shooting of a suspected bank robber all over major news stations. Right down street roads closed it's crazy. Here in Yonkers.

Yes biggest flakes of the storm the last half hour or so. 1.5 in so far don't think I'll make it to 2" as radar looks to be drying up. Through the 15th of December I'm at 25% of total snowfall for my area can't ask for better than that
