Which will come first 32° or the end of the precip?

Wonder how TheAresian is doing snow wise. WSW for 6-12 there, hoping he's in the 10-12 bullseye.

I have 36 degrees and light, steady rain.

Front passed a few hrs ago. Temps falling from near 60 at 3am and a light southerly breeze to a blustery northwest wind and temperature down to about 40 here. That warm shot was way too short... Here we go back into the freezer.

Rain has stopped still foggy 49*.my snow pile is almost gone 

37.4°, precip has shut off, not sure if any of the residual to our west will make it through or just skirt north and east of the area...

As I mentioned the other day, years of watching these cutter storms with their massive temperature spike up and heavy rain, most of the time the temp drops too late on the backside, or if it does, the precip dries up.I had said look at the radar Saturday morning .I am doing that now and see all the precip moving away.There might be a flurry or two later.Temp now 33 and the winds are howling.Tuesday and Wednesday will be interesting as we get back into winter weather again later today.

63* yesterday..currently 35* real feel 25* winds out of nw @ 14mph...not a lot of rain for us here...close to an inch

I have 28 mph winds, steady. Wind gusts yo to 45 mph. I can tell anyway just by listening to the wind chimes on deck. Watch out for black ice this morning. I would watch going over overpasses too My stream knda just shrugged at all this water

Here's the obligatory flurries after the soaking rainstorm...right on cue,LOL!

28 and ground covered with snow, side roads getting icy. Doesn't take much precip with the temp crashing to cause problems.

Doc nobody was talking about snow, its the light precip and the temps crashing that was a concern, and the flash freeze that could happen.

Luckily the gusty wind seems to have dried things off rather quickly, at least that's the observation in my neck of the woods.

yep could have been worse, the side roads and sidewalks are icy but the main roads are fine.

True, Jim, but none of that happened down here or points south.My observations of these events are all based on areas from Bergen County and the immediate NYC area where I spent the majority of my years..No icing at all occured here in the Lower Hudson Valley and anybody with travel plans who cancelled from the LHV on South should have waited for Saturday's radar. I do realize your area had more of a concern with this storm.I am seeing in the HV a big difference between north and south.

Yea doc not much here either after the burst of snow, up north of me got it pretty good. Lets hope Tuesday or Wednesday look better but as of right now not expecting much.

Jim I think this clipper will hit your area better.Not expecting much at this juncture, but there is a shot at coastal development.At least we have the cold back and storms on the table.Let's see what our Long Range Crew can come up with analyzing the models the next few days.

Only ice observed along the Westchester/Putnam line is in my freezer lol, combo of breezy conditions and slowly dropping temps with sunshine did a great job of drying things up (except for the occasional big puddles) 29* currently...

Total snowfall from the storm for me was about 5.5". (I know you guys hate rough estimates, but it's the best I could do.) It could have been a lot more but there was several hours of sleet/freezing rain which kept totals down. Having said that, it was still a lot better than nothing.

WHAT THE HELL WAS ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?this was easily one of the worst forecast doom and gloom storm scenarios ever Imby. A total bust. .25” rain and very little wind. Right now we have a very slowly falling temp and slight breeze. It’s actually beautiful out. Flash freeze my a—!  What a waste.  I need Vic D. To do a video about this non event. Sheesh

I was amazed at the temperature drop this morning! I woke up at 6am to 57 degrees; by 6:30 it was down to 45, and by 7am it was 37, and 8am was 32. In all my 64 years on this planet do I ever remember a temperature drop that fast!

OK, it may have happened, but my memory is shot, so maybe it did and I just don't remember. But, wow!

Well so much for Mike's torch!! It's a bitter 16 with a biting windchill. After the few days in 50s plus this just doesn't feel good I hate the back and forth. Oh also we got a ton of rain from the storm other day syonu must been in s dry dpot it was just training here for hours.

I had the blowtorch commencing around the 19th. I have known for quite some time that the 14th-17th would be chilly.
