We are within 15 hours of the event and the 18z NAM hi-res shows 12-18 inches for SNJ (all of coastal NJ) to LI. NYC 6-10 inches.

Something of importance is the track the low took: Very subtle westerly component; 95% of its motion was from south to north. Direct result of mid-level energy and jet. This may be further corrected. I'd argue it should, but we have to see. All conjecture by me at this point.
