5.3 inches as per Doc yesterday puts us at 33.9 for the season. If we’re tied with Syos going into March it will be a runaway win for THE HV.
I’m in Mystic CT where their lucky if they saw 3 inches yesterday. Whatever.

Yes, CP, like in the Horseracing game, you want to be on the outside position second horse back on the 3/4 turn accelerating making your move to win.Let's hope for a repeat of last March's snowstorm. We can get snow up to mid April up here!

Incredible work again Mike. I’m not sure if you should be risking your life taking snow measurements at 1 am in Central Park but since you’ve been on top of them their accuracy has been pretty spot on this year.
I am comforted knowing that when I pass on the measurements at Central Park will still be in your capable hands to continue my life’s work.
Perhaps when that day comes you should change your name to CPwillmeasuresnow.

CP is the most notorious overmeasurer on this board. Always has been. I think we need to knock off about 5-6” on his totals per season. Absolutely outrageous. It’s no wonder he tried to tar and feather me even though i corrected myself. Classic case of diversionary tactics. Sad.
Anyway. I’m at 87 cm for the season. No ones touching that

@syossnow-I’m currently at 87cm as is Hyde in Hyde park using legitimate time tested snow measuring protocol. You are at 87cm choosing the highest total in LI from each storm and adding 7 Cm. Even in an unfair fight we are still neck and neck.

It was about 5.5 inches when I poked around. It sure melted fast on the blacktop after I snowblowed. It will likely be gone with upcoming rain and T/W high temps. I look forward to the next storm.

LOL, Greybeard.I did actually measure this morning after shoveling the walk here and in 3 spots averaged that measurement.Monroe NY is a very large town with hills that may vary 2 or 3 hundred feet.Where this "trained spotter" takes his measurement I do not know.If you were observing through the winter, I actually measured in my yard an inch or so less than that spotter on some storms this year and COULD have , as a mere amateur measurer, who has only used a ruler over 60 years, taken that guys HIGHER amounts,LOL.However, I must look at my face in the mirror in the morning,LOL.
I love this by the way,LOL.

21 degrees now. This snow pack remaining helped drop those temps.Jimmy was right when he said the frequency of storms is like '95-'96! One after another.Too bad most are on the warm side, in that amazing year , they were all snow! Looks like half the snow pack was lost yesterday.

Also 21 here. I think the chipmunks worked overnight to haul away most of the snow. Only explanation.

The heavy wet snow did take out a few scattered branches, and this big evergreen tree. Hit a few cars and blocked the street yday.

All in good fun Doc, all in good fun. I know you have a sense of humor, and would take it as such. I would never question the integrity
of someone like yourself. You've had me rolling with many of your observations and wit. Glad I was able to give you a laugh.
Sorry if this is banter, but this thread is past it's prime anyway.
