March 2nd Nor'easter Update
Hey clan -
Here is a quick blog on Friday's storm. A snow impact map is found at the end. I will have a 1st call snow map released either tonight or tomorrow. Leaning toward tonight.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
Dynamics are insane with this system. I love rain to snow events. Snow comes down in the size of golf balls. It will accumulate very quickly. N&W of NYC is in for some event...IMO.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
Frank, any thoughts on accumulation issues with warm surface and March daylight? Or do you think the snow will be heavy enough to overcome any of those issues? I think in areas where it changes by around daybreak it should accumulate quickly, but areas with a later changeover it could take awhile initially to start sticking.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
bill this is a very challenging forecast. I would say if it comes down heavy enough it will accumulate and melt as rates lessen. the conservancy will def blow this one.lol@billg315 wrote:Frank, any thoughts on accumulation issues with warm surface and March daylight? That was exactly what we wanted at the time you posted this...two seperate energy that phases AFTER is reaches the coast then stalls because of the block...text book
