Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
Here at mt pocono might be the worst conditions I’ve ever experienced. Neck and neck with Boxing Day. Was in metuchen nj for that one. 8 inches on ground with literally blinding snow.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
The Watchung Mtns are playing a local role in western Essex and Union counties. I have been snow and sleet since 7:45 this morning at an elevation of around 400 to 450 ft. I am assuming the same this is happening in western union in the watchungs

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
The temperature has been slowly rising since the crash earlier. That is a bit concerning - most outlets are now predicting a steady increase in temps and change to rain. Any of our pros have any thoughts?

Crippo- all I can tell you is watch as things unfold and learn. No one can tell you much about what it will all look like in the end from this point in time.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
We have seen it all here in Bergen County, almost 2" of rain, had wintery mix this morning before 10:00 of sleet, snow and rain when temps were at 34-35°. Now all rain since then, temps between 35-36°, a few gusts of wind but nothing to write home about...

That's funny, NWS just took out any mention of rain, all snow now 6 to 10 inches for my area.
Ripping heavy snow, coming up on 6 inches.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
To me, this was a bad job by the NAM for people near the coast. Precip rates and cooling looked to be overdone by the NAM. Precip rates aren't enough to overcome the surface and keep places snow unless you're NW.

Ripping snow HAAAAARD here in Great Neck NY. Winds increasing too. About 1” and slushy roads here on campus. I drove to lunch and 1/4 mile away and 150’ lower in elevation no stickage. Incredible. My map will verify very well at this rate. White rain for most within 30 miles of the coast.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
So far this storm for most has been very underwhelming unless you’re in western Jersey or LHV

Rain and sleet. Only accumulation is a light glaze of sleet on the grass and windshields

Drifting is getting impressive here. I think most of central and northern eastern pa is experiencing blizzard conditions.

Nothing crazy yeah just a rain and snow mix going on at LaGuardia. If anyone is flying at LaGuardia Airport expect delays and cancellation only for today I don't know about tomorrow
