I think you are going to get snow Greybeard when this moves east and when you do it's going to RIP!.From looking at this radar, it appears the precip shield moved south and west,LOL.I guess they were not kidding about that retrograde movement.
Just getting a little tease here, Doc. Here's a pic from around 11:00 AM

My parents are over a foot with visibility remaining below 100 yards WITH LITTLE WIND back home in Pa......lucky bastards. As usual, the best eludes me lol
After all the time and effort you put into this storm, that's just not fair. Me thinks a visit back home is in order.

Steady mod snow now, winds gusting to 40 est. Snow about 1.5 in on cars and roofs and grass and starting to accumulate on pavement in parking lot.

??????????At work here in Allendale it is like a blizzard - that Saddle River Ridge is something and the winds are easily 30-40 mph gusts

Currently having wind driven snow but nothing to show for it as far as accumulations. What a waste!

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
JMAN!! I just thought of you. I was walking back from lunch through the snow and a huge gust of wind nearly knocked me off balance. At that moement a guy moving a trash dumpster on wheels lost his grip on it and the wind caught it and blew it toward me. I was nearly killed by a gust of wind and an errant trash dumpster!! Luckily I survived. But I will add that these wet snowflakes sting a bit when the wind smacks them into your face.

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
From Mt Holly's noon update:
.NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/...
Noon Update... No headline changes were made but we did knock
down surface temperatures 1-2 degrees north and east of
Philadelphia where precip associated with the deformation band
around the western side of the rapidly deepening coastal low has
been heavy. The strong dynamical cooling has resulted in a
changeover to wet snow across the coastal plain of NJ and the
Delaware Valley. Traffic cams have show snow accumulations have
been limited to grassy surfaces and cars in these locations, but
it may come down hard enough to accumulate on some untreated
secondary roads, especially across the northern suburbs of Phila
and in central NJ.
I guess that explains it...no real accumulation yet, but the I'd rather have white rain at 34* than wet rain...

I have to say, this is a cool storm! Rain up north, snow down south!, snow out east, rain in the middle, Blizzard conditions out NW, winds gusting to 50 here and there, winds light to calm here and there

Re: March 2nd Nor'easter Update
Fishkill is one of the most awesome microclimates I've ever experienced. Still flurries at my apartment, but the mountain literally one mile away that sets the background landscape has been continuous whiteout. Absolutely FASCINATING how mesoscale meteorology works.
