March 1st-2nd Storm Observation Archive for my Project
What's needed upon the conclusion of the event?
1. Total snow and sleet combined to the nearest .1" (if possible), rainfall to the nearest .01" (if possible), ice accretion to the nearest .01" if possible. Best guesses are also ok provided they are relatively close and not done using the Syo-method (though the bias-corrected Syo-method will be acceptable :p)
2. State
3. County (optional)
3. Town/municipality/city/CDP/etc. where the measurement was taken
For any snowfall map makers, please also post your maps in here to also be used in the beta-testing. Reasons why will be revealed later on.
I will be asking those of you who post your observations to revisit this thread, as well as the February one in a few weeks as beta-testing begins, but I will announce that when ready. This will serve as an archive to be used accordingly so that your exact observations can be replicated as if it was real-time.
Thank you all for your continued support and patience in this matter!!!!

Re: March 1st-2nd Storm Observation Archive for my Project
It snowed down here for most of the day after 10am but only a trace on the ground that quickly disappeared once it stopped. There was actually about .5 inches on the sides of things like cars, street signs and tree trunks!

Re: March 1st-2nd Storm Observation Archive for my Project
Ray I am curious to see the final product. Thank you for sharing. As for my snowfall map, it was a bust for coastal regions. While plenty of snow fell it was too light for accumulation and the high winds kept ratios much lower. Also, the best banding did not get into these areas as some models had shown. Tough storm to forecast. Let's see what Wednesday brings.

You did well man. Originally pretty sure your red area was marked as 5-8 inches which I remember saying was underdone. Pretty sure those places got more.

A coating of snow accumulated on non-paved surfaces. An inch of accumulation on the grass. Total rainfall was about 1.45 inches. We received 0.15 inches of precipitation as snowfall.
