NAM just heard my request H5 came around in a bigly way- lets see if the 12Z suite follows this.
Has a 967 LP  150 E of Del - that is crazy.
Still a hair way from REALLY coming to Roidzilla Fruition - as of now you now who gets walloped - the LI's - shocker!!

@ Docstox - absolutely - the pattern will dictate the outcome!

H5 shows a vertically stacked LP meaning the 500, 700 LP are on top of each other unlike teh last storm where they where speperated.
What does this mean well remember our hcanes this past summer that reached CAT 5 status? They were all vertically stacked. NOT saying we are getting a CAT 5 here peeps BUT this is why it is is strong. You bring a 967 LP off teh DelMarva and SHAZAMMMMM!!

We need this another 100 miles more west, very doable in this set up and it becomes Frank's call of the winter and we close up shop and dont leave our homes for a few day!!

Ridge axis for the PNA is almost perfect - over I - DA - HO - love that LOL!
This means that the Surface Low Pressure should be closer to teh coast not 150 miles away from my learned experience but I could very well be wrong (not?)

Okay off to do some errands be back in a bit. Lets keep teh positive juju going through teh 12Z suite.

PS Ukie sniffing this out? Remember the bomb it had a few days ago? And last nights run?

For those on here commenting this isn’t a real threat because nobody is forecasting it:

Some of our more significant storms snuck up on us in March. I remember the March 16th storm of 2007. We were not forecasted for the amount of snow we got. I have faith because I don't have the talent nor knowledge of the people on here.

I actually do not care what surface shows. Drastic improvements at H5 level (faster and stronger northern stream with weaker confluence) will guarantee more snow Monday night into Tuesday.

Those upper air patterns show the northern energy pulling this to us rather than kicking it OTS.That has been the wild card from a few days ago that could make or break this storm. From my limited understanding, it's the upper air patterns that steer these babies.

I was just thinking the same thing Frank. Both the GFS and NAM changes in the upper levels were so dramatic, the surface reflection did not quite catch up. Besides if you follow the trend all winter all our storms came west within 36-48 hours.

BINGO, was just going to add that to my post, that N and W bias all winter bringing these closer to us.

Massive changes with the CMC too. Don't have access to snowfall maps, but it doesn't matter at this point. IF H5 levels which the CMC, GFS, and NAM are currently portraying comes to fruition, this storm will continue to correct closer to the coast. Very excited to see the EURO this afternoon.
