Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
This is going to shift from a PA to a NJ/NYC storm very soon. I would say by 5-6pm. All this frontogenesis out in the ocean will move inland.
Giddy up.
Giddy up.

I’ve been watching them hoping. They’ve slowed their northward progression and it seems like the area over the ocean is weakening. I hope I’m wrong butif they don’t move in and if I’m not this is the epic b___ of the century. Juno-esque

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
Maybe an inch of slushy accumulation on grassy surfaces here on the coast in south western Nassau County. Snowing lightly now. Happy to send additional accumulation to the snow lovers here, I'm ready for Spring in my new home by the beach...

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
Upper levels cooling. Already can notice that just due to the fact that now even during light precip, I have changed from sleet back to snow. This will help pile the snow up later as we have better dendrite formation. Giddy up, the show is about to start all!

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
I am saying it’s not going to be the 12 to 18 that NWS was saying , but there still can be up to 12 in some areas with the bands. A good storm for Early Spring standard. I think it is fun to watch and learn with all the real time data we have now.

I am at 4 in now. Funny , it looks like the Central Park will get over 10 in with that persistent band there all day it seems.

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
So 6-9 additional per NWS so cutting it close to reach a foot here, I need about 8 more. IMO looking at radar that could be conservative but I could be wrong.
