The storm is stalled out and barely moved in a few hours

toople wrote:Frank, do you think those band in Long Island will come slightly north and west? I'm located in Nutley, NJ. It looks like another subsidence is developing north of the band.
Unfortunately looks like NE NJ, including Union County soon, will be trapped under subsidence. We'll see if any bands try to pivot in at some time tonight but doubt it.

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
Snow continues consistently just south of 78 in Central Hunterdon. After a lull in the late afternoon it has been nice and moderate through the evening.
Long story short if we are still getting it those in NYC east should have a long way to go.

We're done for this storm, Jman. A band was bound to set up and you're either lucky and caught under it or on either side of it in the screw zone. Congrats Long Island tho, getting walloped right now.

It’s amazing how I was dry slotted a good portion of the day but have 5 in as of 9:30 pm , had a good kick in the morning and then early aft.
Damn if the system had more pop , look where the 700 mb low is? However, this storm is kickin A** for an early spring storm

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
Sorry not buying it for here, theres a invisible force field keeping everything away, some act of mystery which now has happened 4x. I really would just like to know why, can you really get that unlucky 4x, or is there a logical reason this area is always under sustinance.Frank_Wx wrote:Hmmmm

The subsidence in NE NJ is real. Nothing but flurries in eastern Passaic County since about 4:30pm.
