Re: January 2019 Observations and Discussions
Joanne, I recommend honey ginger tea. When kids are not around, a dollop of whiskey. As for my other “today” observation, I note that after today, it is that cold/dry loop for 10 days. Where goes our moisture when it gets cold?

yes I do and do not usually take it for granted..but it is foggy dreary as is my mood and our health in the last week. We have all had the FLU....and finally trying to get back to our lives...so today I am not my usual cheery shelf...but thank you for reminding me....so I will have a cup of tea and try to snap out of it!! (and of course deal with disinfecting and putting the house back in order ) Have a good day!
Feel better. NO ONE (except for Hector and possibly Mikey) ARE HAPPY. THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST MISERABLE WINTER I CAN REMEMBER.

Re: January 2019 Observations and Discussions
Got a coating of ice on my steps, walkway and a slushy coating on my car. Which was pretty much what I was expecting/what was forecast.

Solid line of some heavy showers working through PA into NJ. Could be a brief downpour around midnight.

Looks like a line of summer T’Storms. I guess it emphasizes how cold the incoming air mass is when the cold front is creating that much instability at 39 degrees. Good to see a few days in a row upcoming of temps not getting above freezing.

President Trump says we have a crisis at the border and we need to stop illegal immigrants from coming in. In my opinion we in the Tri State have a crisis and a much bigger one. We need a wall to stop all rain storms and guide storms up the coast to produce snowfall. Thats the real crisis here

CMC showing rainfall amounts of 4-5 inches about 100 miles off the Delmarva coast from this system. Yikes. What could have been.

Yep.Cold and clear.Even though there is hope for next weekend, the pattern is set for suppresion depression followed by mild and heavy rain up here. This is the second mid atlantic snowstorm while we just watch it slide south of us.Those long range models for next weekend better put up or shut up!!!!
