Mother Nature has her way of evening things out!!
How about that 7.0 earthquake of Vanuatu a couple of days ago? Planet Earth keeps percolating and reaching Solar Maximum of this solar cycle is going to aid in this as our magnetosphere wanes, diminishes. That part of the atmosphere is our protective force from all the solar radiation protons and electrons that bombard our planet. Our spaceship, Planet earth that is, has to absorb all this electrically charged particles and then somehow release it. EQ, Volcanoes, ground to cloud lightening are all ways it gets released. Interesting times ahead for sure.
And just like a major EQ and Tsunami warning fro Pacific!!

Everything was covered by a couple inches some roads look like they haven't been plowed. I think we just honestly have to get out of this La Nina pattern we've been stuck in. Until that happens I don't think we're going to really be dealing with any Winters to remember. It's been consistent... consistently boring the past couple of years.
So true, I went up to Skylands Manor Saturday and there was patchy snow at the bottom but up top tehre was about ~2" STILL on the mountain. Amazing.
A moderate shaker that a jolt you!!

That's wild. The idea that this Japan quake near Fukushima could be a aftershock of the Fukushima quake a decade ago is amazing to me.
"It is interesting to note that today's quake occurred in almost the same location as the catastrophic Tohoku earthquake from 11 March 2011. In fact, it is likely a late aftershock."
The fact that Fukushima happened a decade ago tells me how fast time flies.
