FEB 13th Pre V-Day Storm Part II

The signature deform band is showing signs of forming directly over the NYC, LI and eastern NJ. Radar looks really impressive. Looks to me like precip made it pretty far north too. A bust coming…but a POSITIVE ONE. We deserve this

Looks like some heavy snow from the NW Philly burbs headed toward CNJ/NNJ

it's really getting going here now

3.5” here at 7:15 am.  It’s been snowing at least since 4:30 am when I looked outside and everything was covered. Pics from about 20 minutes ago.   It’s really coming down, but the camera isn’t picking it up through the window.

Snowing heavily in East Village NYC - really picked up in the last hour. Still rather wet as expected here, but sidewalks and roads starting to cover quickly.

My respect for Bernie has increased.Last night I watched a video of him where he said he was going out on a limb throwing out the Euro as it showed a crazy "wrinkle" that sent the storm more East and scrooing our area CP.That took guts IMO.

Think we may have a shot at getting 8 here CP if that radar stays intact.

When is the heaviest of the snow going to happen right now we’re getting moderate snow

What time will this be approx? Possible t-snow?

Good negative tilt to the h5 trough and it's starting to pinch off which hopefully is the start of a full close off. For those wondering why this is snowing further NW look no further than the h5 trough.

4-6 IMBY there, in 3 hrs wow. What 3 hours is this? My wife has to drive in around 9am, concerned she is gonna be in really bad shape at that time. I can work remotely and am.

I just measured 7 inches on the nose Doc so that looks like a lock. Up by Damian 3 miles west of Middletown they're near 10 inches already.

I’m still in bed. Looks like 10 inches at least. Coming down hard. Snow is a sweet deodorant for this winter.

Dont forget about batman's sidekick Robin.  The N jet streak is also helping to expand that precip shield.

11 inches on the ground, picked up 1 inch in last 30 minutes , holding at 29 degrees, just made a fresh cup of coffeee!

Interezrting how you guys have 10x the snow we have down here and were forecasted much less, hopefully we can make up for it in the next several hours, your also colder which helps it pile up.

It's probably snowing ~ 2"/hr currently. Very dynamic storm to produce this.

I hear by grant this storm the highest civilian storm award that may be bestowed: The Scotty, for uplifting our hearts and making us smile around these parts; the honorable mention list will have to be posted individually.

I see my WSW totals have been upped to 8-13”.  It was at 4-8” when I woke up this morning. I think it was at 7-10” before I went to bed last night.

h7 fronto explains why it's snowing 2"/hr currently.  it's a question of how long that camps out.

Absolutely blitzing right now, hopefully this is what we continue to see and at least the 6" mark will be met. Roads get tire tracks and within minutes they are covered again, blowing sideways non-stop.
