Folks as you post observations, please make sure we have your location, either add it to your profile or add it to your post. We would love to see where the banding sets up. Also, as you measure the snow, measure often enough to not have an issue with compaction. For instance if you do not have a snow board, and are using a table, measure when it is about 6" and then clear the table, measure later and clear...etc. If you are measuring in your yard, make sure you go to several places around the property to get a few readings and post the average. Here's to a great 2 days of tracking and measuring!

Light snow and 23 in Bloomfield. Was snowing pretty good between 7:30 and 8:30am, enough to leave a trace coating on cars & surfaces, including the streets.

20 with light snow when I left Hackettstown. Mostly wet roads all the way to Morristown. Starting to cover roads now. Worried about the ride home tonight...be safe everyone!

Started here sometimes between 5:45 and 6am with flurries, then around 8am it was a moderate snow for about a half hour, and now it's just blowing snow with light flurries. Just a light coating blowing around the sidewalks with nothing sticking.

Temp was 26 @ 6am, down to 24 now.

My underrstanding was that today would bring a little snow but the main storm would hit this evening. Yet, as I walked to work about an hour ago in Midtown East Manhattan it was snowing heavily and the wind was picking up quite a bit.

There will be some snow squalls throughout the day today, but that is from the clipper, the main threat will kick in later today

Snow fall is trying to make up it's mind, light to moderate with a couple of heavy bands.

Since 7am its been snowing good here big flakes to the fine powder. good coating on everything. Already blowing though this is will be tough to measure. 24 degrees feels like 17

Pretty good amount of snow here in Morris County (Cedar Knolls). Have not been outside in nearly 4 hours, so can't give a total. Roads that have not been salted are definitely covered. Salted roads have a lot of slush. Our office is closing at 2pm and will be closed tomorrow.

15° and light snow.

If we get even the one and a half inches of liquid precipitation that some of the models are showing, totals are going to be ridiculous at these temperatures.
