Tiny flakes but snowing steady here. I will be driving around clients most of the afternoon. Is this supposed to accumulate much today?

Just started spitting some very light flurries but I see some heavier stuff headed this way. Nice little surprise, did not think it would effect this area

Jon I made note of this in the February discussion thread yesterday. Not many local Mets called this.

Looks like on radar round one coming to an end. Looks like almost 1.5 inch out there.Nice little front end surprise here this morning.

National radar is interesting. You can see the storms lining up on the northern CONUS.

this pattern is giving me deja vu of my college days in Michigan along Lake Michigan and lake effect snow. while the big time snow events got on the news what was much more frequent was consistent light snow day after day after day.
There was one stretch with 30+ days were at least some snow fell. Mostly a coating - 2" but with the few 3 - 6" and a 8 - 12" event mixed in.
Most days like today though.

Accumulating snow pretty much over add another 1.6 inches to the seasonal total.

44.9 now for the season and other than the day before Thanksgiving storm I still haven't hit the jackpot on any of them.

Boston at 54.2 for the season and they've been in the bullseye the last several storms, Highland Mills at 44.9.

No whining up here about the snow and no annoying accents. I'd rather be here.

WWA for most of the area.

Orange and Putnam counties are Borderline WSW with 4-8 expected and quarter inch of ice but still just a WWA.  Just like last Monday I'm not really sure what to expect with this one. We only changed to a mix last week for a couple of hours and ended up with 11 inches. This one seems similar but appears there is more WAA which if course can play havoc with snow totals and not as much QPf this storm.

A nowcast again which always makes it a little more interesting. The roulette wheel storms continue, where they stop you never know.
