There are 3 threats that I am looking at. The first is mid week which as Frank Stated Is losing steam. Ill give it until tomorrow 12z to completely disregard it. Feb 28th-March 2nd, and March 3rd-5th. Ill post this in the LR thread as well. If the mid week system is rekindled over night we will make a separate thread for it.

Central Park 4.0 inches which appears correct.

Puts them at 28.4 for  the season which is right at their 145 year average. Of course about 35 inches has actually fallen in Central Park.

Despite the dry slots and all that crap 4.0 inches of light powdery snow here. The HV effect came through despite the horrendous scroo job on qpf. Stayed snow the whole time, and high ratio. Considering the circumstances a success.

The 145-year average is ~28.63.  So not too far off from the average.  Also, 2014-15 had featured more snow than ~55.86% of the previous snow seasons.

Got an additional 0.5" this morning on top of 3" yesterday and an impressive 0.15-0.2" ice accretion overnight.  I am now only 1.85" away from the 45" I predicted a few weeks ago for my back yard before its all over.  Def a memorable winter with the ups and downs and struggles to accumulate.   For me so far I have had 13 measurable snows.  With a current total of 43.15" that is an avg of 3.32" per event.  Like I said in earlier posts blue collar winter, but getting the job done.   Ciao for now.  Time to celebrate with my principessa.

Doc you've used that description before to describe this winter and it is very apropos.

It seems we fight for every inch yet almost our entire area is now at or above their seasonal norm with another month, hopefully, of snow season left.

I'm at 56.8 inches for the season, already above my seasonal norm of 50 and it's been done with 17 events of 1 inch or more and a couple less than an inch, starting with 2 inches on November 13th. Throw in a very memorable February cold spell and this winter despite the horrible December to Mid January stretch has been OK.

You, Frank, and Mugs kept preaching a pattern change was coming and boy were you guys correct.

Syos that idiot zookeeper and I have been at war for so long I wouldn't doubt it. Actually just careless was taking the dog out last night and doing a million other things at the same time and I missed the last two steps to the garage. Went down hard walked the dog anyway like an idiot. The wife made me go in this morning and they confirmed the break.

I'm on here to much as it is but for the next 6 weeks it will be ridiculous. I can't sit still for long I'll go stir crazy in the house. Have to teach the wife how to use the snow blower now. I'm hoping it will still be used at least a few more times.

If I was able to teach my 11 year old then you're wife will pick it up in no time. I haven't been able to shovel in 3 weeks because I had hand surgery so I feel your pain. Get better soon. I love the fact that even after you fell you still walked the dog. Way to suck it up.

Thanks Doc, since I won't  be going out in the field for the next 6 weeks people that aren't sick of me yet on this forum may be by mid March.
