Not worried about the Yanks. Pitching always starts shaky and then they become gradually better by May. Core pieces like Jeter, Grandy, Tex will be coming back in May, and a fully healed Arod in July. I fully expect us to be in the top of the division by September.

I think your being a little to optimistic Frank. The way the rest of the division improved (excluding the redsox) I don't think the Yankees have a chance of a division title. And I don't know about ARod being healthy......even if he is he won't be batting in the top 1/2 of the lineup. But who knows, we are the Yankees, Cashman might just surprise us and make a few big trades to improve the team.

I remember his passing. Sad time. Sad

Yanks play Indians today. Swisher re-united with former team.

Another great start by Harvey. This kid looks like the real deal. I am really excited for the future with the possible rotation being : Harvey,Niese, Gee,Singergaard and Wheeler. Future looks really bright.

Buck continues his hot hitting. The Mets finally got a good hitting catcher. About time.

Harvey is amazing. I drafted him on my fantasy team. He is going to be a stud. And Wheeler is not far behind him. Mets are very close to being legit contenders. Just need some more offense and bullpen help.

Mets win 16-5. Yesterday was the 4th straight day with a homerun from Buck.

Buck is batting .351 with 6 homeruns and 19rbi's. What a start so far.

I think Mets are going to make. Trade splash for Stanton.

Yanks turned s triple play yesterday and have won 4 in a row.

Terry Collins is considering bringing up Wheeler if the rotation keeps on struggling. He is also considering promoting D'Arnaud if Davis continues to struggle. Buck would move to 1st base.

The team is considering bringing up Zack Wheeler if the rotation does not improve soon, Terry Collins told Mike Francesa on WFAN.
Collins said he is considering playing John Buck at first base if they call up Travis d’Arnaud and Ike Davis continues to struggle.
In addition, Collins said that Marlon Byrd was penciled in to start in centerfield if they played on Wednesday night.
Francesa discussed the “other” Mets pitching prospects, like Rafael Montero and Noah Syndergaard. Collins said he is guarding against rushing them and that they “have to pitch their way here.”

Mets should wait for Wheeler so they have more service time on him. Although, I think by the time he reaches free agency, Mets will be in a better position to offer him money.

Mets likely to promote Juan Lagares

According to Adam Rubin, the Mets will likely promote OF Juan Lagares from Triple-A Las Vegas as soon as today.

The 24-year-old Lagares is hitting .346 with three home runs and nine RBI in 78 at-bats over 17 games with the Las Vegas 51s this season.

He hit .286 with four home runs and 48 RBI with 37 walks and 93 strikeouts in 499 at-bats with Double-A Binghamton in 2012.

Lagares is already on the 40-man roster.

Wow, what a game.Harvey went 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits and struck out 7 batters. He didn't pitch bad at all. Mets were down in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs and Wright up at bat. He hit a single to tie the game. Valdespin hit a game winning grandslam in the bottom of the 10th to win it.It was a first time a Mets player has done that in about 22 years (since June 25, 1991 vs Expos)

MLB network put up a graphic comparing this year Met team to last year Met team through 19 games. So far, more offense this year compared to last year. Average is up, hitting with runners in scoring position is up and also homeruns are up.

Mets are in 2nd place 4 games behind the Braves.

First time that this team is under .500. 10-11 record. The Mets made Kendrick look like CY Young. Terrible.

6 of 9 starting players in the lineup are currently on the DL for the Yankees. Amazing.

Jeter
Granderson
Tex
Arod
Youkilis
Cervelli

It is basically the middle of our order!

A healthy Yankees lineup would be dangerous with Hafner, Wells, Ichiro mixed in between all those names. What a Face

Justgot home from the game with my friends. We sat in the field level seats
on the 1st base side. We had a nice time except for the rain part. We
were all freezing our asses off down there. I had to get hot coco during
the 7th inning stretch to warm up. We were all on the big monitor in
center field. I also caught a T- Shirt. We were all cheering when Davis hit a foul ball lol

Terrible night for a game, I'm waiting for warmer weather to go out there! Let's see if they can win one or two from Atlanta.
