RB I'm surprised you don't have a snowpack like that. Don't you live in Poconos where its always colder then here.

4.2 inches and light snow still falling. As Howie Rose would say, "put it in the books Docstox". As a Yankee fan that pained me. Feel better buddy.

61.7 on the season, 10 inches more to catch last year. I never would have thought this in mid January but some pretty bright people on this forum did and they nailed it.

Doc, great video and it should be in it's own thread so no one misses it.

As a met fan it was great to hear a Howie rose quote. Brings me memories of a warm summer. I understand your pain I could never quote Sterling unless I was poking fun at one of his home run calls.

After today's 2.5", we have about a 14-16" snowpack. Don't forget, we have been shafted the last three or four storms by dry-slots and misses lmao We've been colder, there's no question, but we just haven't had the moisture to go with it lmao

just got home roads were terrible esp side streets. measured 5" at home. looked about the same in queens. big difference was snow was much lighter and drier by my house. 47.5" now for year. lets keep on adding more gravy with the next two systems before pattern ends.

RB I understand being shafted. I have been as well just not as bad due to being further east. This is my third winter in my house and I have a spring fed Swamp that previously has only froze a week or 2 at a time. This year its been frozen since January so what has fell has stayed. I still haven't had that one storm that makes you say "yea" but with slow and steady small storms that haven't melted, it all added up.

You win some and you lose some. I mean, I have more snow here than anywhere around me because of my elevation, but not like you. But, then again, I can remember last winter it was waste-deep here in February and it stayed that way through the end of March. The coastal plain got robbed. That's just how it goes. I'm just mad because it's my first year out of school so I can actually go out and "play" in it (shovel/plow/etc.) and I haven't had that big one, like you said, to really ice the cake. It's been two inches here, three there....We had one ten inches about a month ago, and the last bigger one before that was the Thanksgiving weekend storm, where we ended up with 11.5" lmao so close to that 1' mark. Other than that, we've nickeled and dimed our way to the snowpack that we have now.

Haha Rb Im 7 years older then you so I know the feeling of being just out of school. I remember college and a few good storms where snow was knee deep and wandering to a party or to get pizza, great times. Snow seems to make any memory better. You will have plenty of good storms to come.
Idk what I am talking about but we all need that 12 plus nor eastern that gives the tri state area 12 plus. ledgeHey Rb your knowledge of weather is impressive. Do you have a degree in meteorology.

Before anyone else makes the comment I measure 4 inches but it seems like more and yes my wife agrees haha. Just finished snow blowing. This site needs to develop and market a snow blowing beer delivery system. We all will be rich. I cant seem to intake enough when my hands are on the blower.

Its almost 2 A.M. and its only 23 degrees here. Some forecast have said snow would turn to sleet here. Not even close here. This cold is def stronger then models can see this year.
