Snow, or no Snow?

I hope the white gold is flying even if for a short time.

Temp actually went up from 37° at 10 pm to 40° at 2:45 am. Doesn't look good for anything frozen here....

35 degrees
64% humidity
calm wind
No snow or any precip so far. Radar shows it's raining here but the atmosphere must be still to dry for it to reach the ground. I don't think I'll be seeing any frozen stuff with this event at my location.

39.2 after a low at 10pm of 37, no precip yet- only virga...

Nothing falling yet, just virgas on radar. 35.4, 67%, 30.16 R. NWS saying 1-2 inches here.Hope to see some flakes anyway.I'll be reporting all morning from Monroe NY HV.

Light virga here, 38*. Temp actually went up after midnight.

I see just the slightest trace of what appears to be sleet in a roof gully of the house.Nothing visible yet.

Still 35.4.

Precip starting to move in, a few flakes here at 40°, not going to last though

Damian here.  Almost 8 am and I have about the same numbers as Doc reported. But looking out the kitchen window, I see ... flurries ... here in northwestern Orange county just seconds from 118 on Route 17.

LOL, Damian.Getting those snow flurries here now too.First flakes of the season!!! Always amazing to see that with the trees in full color.

Temp dropped to 39° little sleet mixed in with sprinkles

Called my mom..she  lives in Mount Arlington (Morris County)..she said it is sleeting

First flakes started falling here in Fishkill at 8 am on the dot. Steady light snow falling now but zero stickage.....with surface temps near 35 degrees and the ground above freezing as well, I am not expecting any either :/ However, warm air is also rapidly surging north and northeastward. It looks like there may be a little let up in the precip shortly, for those of us in the HV, and then it will come down at a good clip again, but unfortunately, that will signal the start of the changeover. Enjoy it now everybody!!!

rain and sleet 37* here. wow sleet made id down very close to city. sleet at teteboro. can happen even in oct when strong cold hp sits over maine.

Same here, Doc. No sleet thought and temp dropped a few degrees to 32. A light coating. Pretty.

Temp has been dropping since 7 am. Now sleet at 38°

Must be snowing because i have returned. Also seeing site has changed with the addition of ads. I guess Frank will get paid for his work here.

33 and snowing moderately in Hyde Park, Dutchess county. Starting to stick on everything but the pavement.

Snow mixing with some sleet at times here in Fishkill now.
