No, when that happens I feel like it just went OTS.

THIS ONE ISNT GOING OUT TO SEA lmfao the radar imagery is crazy right now

what radar site should we look at... we just had some really strong gusts go thru 39 mph

They're all about the same, it just depends what color scale you like and if you like ones that include precipitation types.

Reports of sleet in Brooklyn Queens and Manhattan and snow and sleet in Pleasantville I'm in White Plains nothing yet. Very interested to see what falls from the sky in those intense bands later today and this evening

Probably due to evaporative cooling, but as the heavier precipitation moves in the column should steadily warm.........according to said modeling lol if it doesn't, there are going to be a lot of surprised people and mets alike ahaha and I'll certainly be one of them lmfao

Simmer down troops.

It is coming and it is starting to explode in SNJ and CNJ - power outages climbing, winds climbing, rain climbing, sleet climbing, seas are climbing so just have patience.

All I know is that this beast is coming at night and nottin' good happens at night especially between 11am and 4 am!! Except storms.

The tides are going to definitely be moderate flood stage - water piling up on shores even at low tides, I believe this is under estimated. Part of LI were at 3.5" above flood stage for the 1st high tide from reports and at jersey shore - this means 2 more tides to go - next one easily moderate will teh morning am be as well?

Dry air to our North Ray is allowing temps to wet bulb hence the sleet.

Here in Hudson County we still have the gusty winds and can see some blue skies peeking through breaks in the clouds and it's dry as a bone. Temp still hovering between 39-40, as it had been all morning.

Madonne, 18z NAM has 850mb temps cold enough to support sleet down to NYC and western LI overnight tonight. This is so heavy precip so I can see it come to fruition.

What kind of crazy stuff happens between 11 and 4. I guess I have been sheltered for too long. At those hours I sometimes stare at weather sites hoping for snow updates.

frank if you look at the hourly precip and temp profiles on tt, when a heavy band comes through the 850's and 700's warm +0c and the next hour they fall off to -0c. cant wait for those bands..

By the way winds are picking up. Gusts near 40. Direction is NNE not east. Colder solution?

Certainly will help funnel in some colder air from New England rather than warm marine air.
