Re: BLOG: Hurricane Season's Slow Start
Nice blog Frank.
Its been interesting to note how much Dry Air we have had. The troughs in the east have been the real reason that's causing alot of the Saharan Air. It is the fact that the Atlantic High has been displaced pretty far east during July/ August (Its been more of a Azores high than Bermuda, or in between, except for the hot humid pattern we had for the week in July) thus far. We have been getting more westerly flow of Africa enhancing the Dust particle flow off the coast into the Atlantic where the tropical waves have been forming. Unless the High over the Atlantic Rebuilds further East toward the US, i dont see a end to the Dry air problem in the Atlantic. Thus the Cape-Verde Season might be a no show and we would have to start looking closer to home for development. We might make the record for longest time before 1st hurricane....

Re: BLOG: Hurricane Season's Slow Start
Looking at the Nasa Dust forecast, it seems that the dust will never want to end, and will just keep reloading and releasing....Not even the ample tropical waves have had a effect on increasing the water in the atmosphere....
