02/20 Snow Event - Largest Snowfall Since November?

I would say we have about 2-2.5 inches on the ground here in Hopatcong NJ. It really went into a lull between about 1pm-2pm but its been falling at a moderate clip since then. I can't complain. I made it home from work safe (as well as my wife) so we didn't have a repeat of our incident last winter. Got a full bottle of Jameson and some nice beer. Let it snow.

Again, I can't complain.

It's for real here. I have and inch plus. Steady snow. I am happy.

I think the South Jersey show is done! Very light precip and mostly a mix. Official measurements again came up short of 3", but this was a solid 2.75" that fell in about 3 hours. Maybe NW NJ ends up passing the 3" mark...

That's now 5 teeny tiny storms, 3 of them were 2-3" and 2 of them were 1-2".

And all of them had a really quick shut off valve, that caught me off guard in each case ha ha...have to remember that for the next go round...

2.5" seems to about do it here. Not much at all after 1:30. Without an actual storm hard to get the lift needed to precipitate well across a broader area.

Good to get some white gold with a cold surface though. I will, as most here, fall well below seasonal snowfall average unless end of Feb/March is a big producer. Clock really starting to tick loud now...

Looks like 1.25 to 1.5 inch here."Periods" of snow since 12:20 PM.A mere whisper in the realm of snowstorms,LOL.Looks nice, though, to see a white landscape.

After more than 5 hours of on and off various levels of precip, I only have about 1.75" of snow. Still currently have very light snow falling.

I’m up to 1.75” here and it’s clearly winding down.

In many ways this has been the perfect snow day.  My school closed for the day around 5:30 this morning, along with most of the schools in Morris County.  I’ve been watching snow fall for 6 hours, and shoveling was not back breaking.  It’s pretty and white out there, what more could I ask for?

Finished shoveling and measured 1.5 inches. Another disappointing event.

30* Freezing Rain. Did not shovel yet because I’d rather have the icy glaze on my snow than pavement. Also hoping the rain and rising temps will take care of some of the snow later tonight and tomorrow.

Sleet now. Got alittle under an inch

1.6" here. Enough to be the biggest snowfall since the Nov storm.
At least it double digits for the season now.

1.5" here, freezing rain now at 27°. Looks like there is more snow in PA that may make it here before it warms up.

1.7 in Bloomfield. When I came in 15 minutes ago it was still frozen precip, kinda snowish.
