Re: February 1st-2nd Godzilla, Part III: 1st Call Snow Map
Aside from south jersey coast and parts of long Island, is there any concern for mixing?

We are only in a WSW here in Manorville, NY. Silly. 3-11 inches, quite the range by TWC.

On my way out to take my son to his hockey game I said the exact same thing as I pulled out into the main road to head west as I checked oncoming traffic to the east. Great minds.

I looked out the window this morning, when I let the dogs out, and said the same thing out loud
To the dogs.

It does appear like there is some concern but to a lesser degree in my rather amateur opinion

Re: February 1st-2nd Godzilla, Part III: 1st Call Snow Map
Euro introduces the potential for some dryslotting. Which would introduce lighter precipitation rates and thus some more mixing. But I do think IF that happens it’s likely late Monday night after most of the “damage” is done. So even if and where that occurs it might be the difference between areas further East verifying on the lower end of a 12-18 range vs the higher end further west.

Long Island on the dividing line of epic snow rates and potential mixing.

wow im directly under the darkest part of that band, dare i say we are close enough in time that being in the jackpot is a good thing . 4-5 inches of snow / hr i dont think ive ever seen that, that would most likely produce thundersnow no?amugs wrote:Matty Ice in da house - was waiting for you kid!!

NWS Binghamton has me in a region of 8-12", specially marked as the "Zone of Greatest Uncertainty" because 20 miles NW is 6-8" and 20 miles SE is 12-18" and they decided they'd handle it by issuing a WWA with expected totals of 4-7".
