I'm sorry weathermom and this is truly the winter of our discontent!  Thought you'd at least see flakes flying. Precip took a bit too long to advance.

Was out most of the day, but judging by accumulation on shrubs and NWS reports, I probably got an inch here this afternoon.

Rain now, looks like most of the precip is offshore heading to LI. Are they still expecting it to backfill and give NNJ a decent dumping of rain?

Looks like this miserable winter is on track to break the latest recorded snowfall at CPK on Jan. 29th, 1973.

The only good thing for me on that was I was 22 years old woohooo!!

Wind is howling and the radar keeps backfilling with moderate to heavy rain bands. Freaking depressing!

temp up to 47* and pouring. 1.5" so far and rain still training over me with radar continuing to fill in. Looks like we will beat the forecasted 1.5" from NWS

Received 1.2 inches of snow today, which of course is a memory now, grand total 7.3 for the season.

I pretty much put the odds at 99.99% that NYC would break the record for latest into the season without a measurable snowfall and the odds now go to 100% after today. I’m actually glad they will set the record. Will be a good reminder of what a horrible forgettable year this has been weatherwise.

Finished the day with 1 1/2 inches of snow (pictures) ,
the lovely wife (no pictures) and I shoveled the driveway and side walks , she said “why are we shoveling it’s going to rain 3 inches in the next 4 hours” I said “ please don’t say that it will Jinx this snowstorm “ This is the difference between a Snow Lover and a Normal Person.
Anyhow I would like to thank Frank and all the other weather interpreters on this Here website, I tune in here hoping our fearless leader Frank will call for a Godzilla storm , doubt I’m alone. Dog had to go out it's still pouring did not look at the station closely for rain or wind totals...but for goodness sakes it's freaking 57 degrees outside at 1 am

1190ftalt, I never give up on a winter until March 15 if the long term then sees nothing.Even the lousy '94-'95 winter produced a 12 inch snow in mid February.Still have Feb and Mar to work with here.To CP's point, since we have suffered this long , I hope a new snowless record is set at CPK.Never thought I would see the day a repeat of '72-'73.That January I was outside washing and waxing my 1968 Plymouth Fury III in near 70 degree temps.

My measly mini snow pack of 3 days has gone to glory.My snowplow guy is sucking wind this year ,but better the money in my pocket!

About 1 hour of snow yesterday that coated unpaved surfaces, dry slotted, then 1.5” of rain followed … currently 40*

1.18" of rain overnight. More impressive was the infrequent winds gusts over 40 mph.
