January 3rd-4th low temperatures.

I peaked at 13 degrees at about 2:30, down to 12.0 now.
Plenty of snow cover, clear skies are predicted and little wind tonight, at least inland. I think I'll see minus 10.

I'm already down to 9 degrees, a 4 degree drop since 2:45.

Zoo my thermometer is reading 10.7* and absolutely frigid out there - just came in from a quick run down the block to a neighbors house - the snow makes it feel so much colder like freezer !!
The the NWS has you down for 3.5" I read - WTF?? Id the re panda taking your measurements too like at CP (Bill Evans made mention of this today)
I measured 7" and my buddy in Montvale said he had 7.5.

CP with no wind and the radiational cooling from the snow pack you may hit that -10 mark like you said.
Okay how the hell does CP measure 6.4" and everyone else get 8-10.5" around the entire City - What crack is that guy smokin??
I read your posts but I just have to state my disgust with those knuckleheads there and as you said this has been this way for decades ever since I was a young boy in the early 70's

12* here with a stiff wind still going. Once that goes down, the temp will plummet!

Currently about 13 here in Yonkers, NY, forecast is 1 with a windchill of -22 for lows! All my windows in my apartment are iced shut!

Currently 8.2* - IMO I will hit - 2 at the very least tonight maybe -4

my outdoor thermometer is frozen at 20, its got ice on it and the windown is frozen shut, heh (on second floor of apartment building). Going by various sources Its about 10 degrees now in Yonkers, NY.

I've noticed the same thing here. It's stayed between 0.1 and 0.3 for more than an hour. It's like there's a barrier there. Becoming a little less confident we make minus 10.
