January 3rd-4th low temperatures.

0.0 low, 1.6 now... analog reading -2 though

-4 in Manorville Long Island at 645 this morning

I'm seeing lots of sub zero in HV, North Jersy, Eastern Pa and LI. Anywhere from -9 to -3 surrounding the heat Island and the best Manhattan can do is 9 degrees.  Shows you how tough it is to get that place below zero.

-7.2 definitely was my low for the morning, -3.1 now.

Did not make it to my forecast of -2*. Recorded a low of 1.1*

I was at 9 in the bx before midnight, never got colder after that.
Everything doesn't come together much better than last night with the snow pack and all.
I guess there's a reason a lot of the below zero records are from the 1800s and earlier 1900s.

temps recovering fast, almost 10* jump in a couple hrs.

Made it down to 3 in Gerritsen Beach Brooklyn at 430 this morning. Its now up to a balmy 12

Made it to minus 9 at 5am.

-1 here in Saint James, LI this morning

Got down to -2 at about 3:00 this morning :-)

Looks like Sparta and Marshalls Creek at -6 are the lows for our board in NJ and Pa, unless I'm missing some others.

Also Manorville on LI at -4. Wasn't there something about a -11 on LI I saw, Noreasters post for KFOX? I'm not sure where or what that is.

Yes, it was dropping like a rock for a while there. Perfect radiational cooling setup - fresh snow cover, clear skies and calm wind. Forecast low was for minus 14 but didn't quite get there. I don't think actual temps are going to get that low with next arctic blast by me. It's going to feel colder but westerly wind is probably going to prevent temps from falling to last night's levels.

That 3* reading gets nyc the crown

CPK only got down to 9* because it only got 6" of snow, LOL. It didn't have a sufficient snow base like we did in Brooklyn, all of 5 miles away which got almost 10". Bring it on Zookeeper

It was 9 in Central Park at midnight. You mean to tell me the temp didn't drop anymore the rest of the overnight?

Nope.Oldtimer is right.In fact probobaly no dropping temps at all night and day till Monday.

7* in Marshalls Creek. I didn't think it would get that cold but I guess with the clear skies and snow pack it's possible. The lakes and ponds are frozen. Even the Delaware River has ice on it. I haven't seen that in a long time, especially this early in the season. This is the way Winter should be cold and snowy. I'm lovin it !   

Only 1 degree in Morristown this morning, way colder than the mets at News12NJ had forecasted.

It got to 2.7 here, I believe my forecast low was 16.  Not even close. 7 right now
