I Found It Yep I'm A Nudge Above The Snow Line Yay For Now Per them.

Will be interesting to see 00z runs tonight

Not to get off topic but man the system over the US right now is mighty impressive!  I think those wind advisories may turn into warnings, looks intense morning, and then hih winds (to a bit lesser extent) rest of day.  First time I get to really try out my handheld anemometer, Frank when do you think the strongest winds will be if they happen?  I want to get out there and measure haha, if I had a house I could do it from inside but sadly I can't setup a wx station : (

What needs to happen for snow to get to me at coast here?

I look at this website from time to time, 100% based off GFS (says at bottom) but for my area winds gusting to near 50mph in the AM and 31.5 cm of snow on wed which is 12.5 inches!

Snow you have a map to post? Curious they called three of our storms last year 1-3,27 and 2-3

SREF plume has about 7" for islip

Dark Blue = 6-8" snow
Light Blue = 8-10" snow
Lightest Blue = 10"+ snow

Im gonna say its 3 days out and th jackpot arwa will change imo with many more runs to come

Hey guys what is timing for this event

Wow, can't believe they are putting out snow total maps already! Still a ways to go, need a few more runs...so many things have to come together just right. I'm all for advanced warning for travelers, but you have to be careful, don't want to cause a panic just before a holiday. Keep to the hazardous weather statement until you have higher confidence at what you're facing...

Agree, seems early.

I'll have specifics tomorrow once I release my 1st guess snow map as well

15 hours storm if I read this right and yes ea rly for snow totals. Look forward to your map but most of all the war storm room is being opened activated for the 2014-15 winter!! Looking forward to many of these chats!

Totally agree! We went from not getting true sampling until tonight's 00z's to snow maps all over the web today with still lots of ironing out to do. Excited for the next couple hours of runs though, I hope they don't send me to the sac crying. :-p
