Actually I do not think it moved, it just expanded by like 50 to 100 miles around woah, this could be one huge storm!

Nope it is further N& W by a bit as it exits the northern part of hatteras rather than southern on 00z.

Might be that 50 miles we needed to get the action into NYC, might the Euro be the only one to get it more west? Win for the Euro, I would love that after all this model debacle.

Holy cracker stacks! 985mb turned west just offshore tip NJ and Delmarva. NJ just offshore, 98.7 kt gusts!!!  This is a HUGE shift west from the 00z, Id say hundreds of miles.

It makes a loop south of jersey and around back east weakening (why does it not stay north or even go east?), but brings heavy winds and rain there, even gets 50kt wind gusts into NYC area and CT. That's how big this thing is.

Euro looks that way, Euro only model 12z that came in west from last night, lets see if others follow, I do not know if I buy the south movement, does anyone want to chime in on that? NHC certainly does not show that.

O jeeze I cant even explain the euro run, you gotta see it, thing sticks around 2 days or so and after south heads north again.

Are the 97.9 kt gusts at 850 mb or at 10-meters?

haha well, I am now studying accounting not meteorology anymore, BUT, it seems to stall or push slightly south because of strong high pressure north, preventing it from plowing into LI and thus stalling it or nudging it south. High pressure to the east is also keeping it from escaping OTS.

So basically most of us see winds gusting anywhere from 30-80+ mph for days as its outer bands stay just on land. That would just be insane, not too good for trees if we get a ton of rain, not as much rain as I would have thought except for southern NJ where it retrogrades.

Almost 20 plus hrs of moderate to strong TS force gusts for NYC area, stronger in NJ.

Wow Euro, 144+ hrs still sit around 39N 70W, 92mph surface gusts over the water 981mb.

Yes exactly, but also have to see how she interacts with the front. And yes i do, but my future is more important and the job market for meteorology and pay is pretty bad currently, especially for broadcast.
