4.3" here on the north shore of Central LI. Now currently freezing rain at 31.0 degrees after the changeover around 9:00am. Everything in a light glaze. No complaints here!

When the front comes through. Tomorrow morning and night. But thinking just 40mph gusts now.

odd how u replied to this but i moved it to dec obs. as it doesnt really pertain to the snow event. I looked at latest 12k nam it looks like about 40-50kt gusts is what it shows and winds can be and usually are overdone as we saw the other night so i won't discount your lowering the number.

Right here Doc.

Spent the last 2 hours staring out the picture window in living room with the Christmas tree on enjoying the moment.

4.5 inches as of 10am measurement. 23 degrees moderate snow, hoping to get to 5-6 and I'll be a happy man.

Precip should shut down within the hour so if we do get a change to sleet it should be brief.

Happy for you CP. If you recall your Dec snowfall rule, which I always battled you on, prognosticating the rest of the winter looks like its going to be a good one. I only follow rules when they are of benifit Wink

Every time it changes to sleet the snow fights back. Quite interesting actually. Sleet, snow, sleet, snow..

Back edge coming through soon. Will probably finish with 5".

I believe this puts me at just under 10 inches for the season so far.

It looks like the official measurement for Central Park will be 2.8 inches. Seems a little low but not as bad as past events. Waiting on the other observations sites

That was at 9am so that probably will be it.

It does seem a tad low but like you say much better than years past for sure.
