What does this mean in terms of potential impact for Sunday? Does it rob the main storm from it's energy?

SREF are short range guidance, but judging off 500mb it does not look like wave 2 would produce.

I'm not able to confirm myself but many people are saying the EURO Weeklies show a very ugly pattern after January 11th. Very warm the rest of the month.

Penn state just loses the Rose Bowl 52-49 in the last second and now this. Not happy.

I feel like since they were upgraded, though, they haven't even been worth any time. Not to say that they are wrong, but their recent performance has certainly been less than adequate in my opinion. They flip constantly, and have seemed to be more wrong than right.

So true not going by them, sorry. You have a trough off the NW coast which would argue for a trough over the NE. o10 days away and will know more by the weekend with the set up. CFSv2 shows a trough over the NE in the means and a -AO and -EPO with a + PNA - a weak nino with westerly QBO argue for this the second half of winter

Euro caves now has wave 2 just misses to our Southeast big improvements. All the major models now have Wave 2 need to get this bad boy a couple of hundred miles west.

Euro bring snow to Southern New Jersey into Long Island with the Wave 2. 1000mb low just east of the benchmark hundred miles west and we're all in business

Yahoo, USA, USA! Wow, yet still to temper expectations but will be a big fail for Euro, now we just need this badboy to intensify bit more and as you said all more west, have not seen euro maps but I trust in what you say, plenty of time for NW trend.

I'm hearing Euro was close to being a big hit with time left maybe it will keep getting better. Many thought gfs would cave to Euro looks to be the opposite.
