Here, Frank:
http://www.weatherbell.com/premium/joe-bastardi/is-this-a-carpet-storm/
Bernie Rayno also had a great line in his video this morning. It was something to the tune of how professional forecasters are scared and essentially scrutinized for straying from guidance with something they believe even if they have no support at the time, and how it's killing the industry. So true.

Jim I may be wrong but I think he was making a joke at how long the list is.syosnow94 wrote:Frank_Wx wrote:They need to issue more watches and advisories
That's what I was trying to say earlier responding to Armando's post. If you draw a straight line from the advisories in east/central Virginia through the western advisories in Mass., it should lead to advisories west of NYC to westchester rockland border. No?

A pessimistic meteorologist from another board who never sides with what everybody else wants just posted that he thinks this is going to trend west until the very end due to the positive PNA, stronger s/w, and negatively tilted trough once the system is nearby our area.

We can only hope I've seen where no advisories or warnings have been posted until it's already snowing.SoulSingMG wrote:A pessimistic meteorologist from another board who never sides with what everybody else wants just posted that he thinks this is going to trend west until the very end due to the positive PNA, stronger s/w, and negatively tilted trough once the system is nearby our area.

the RGEM if you look back a page or 2 has higher amounts than most of the models yet so imo it's good.track17 wrote:Is that good or bad?

Re: January 7th-8th Wave 2 Snow Event
So frustrated here in NNJ. For today's event, HRRR got it right with less than an inch. Nam and Rgem had me at about 2". Now for tomorrow, HRRR has me at an inch, 18z Rgem and Nam have me at about 4". I cannot have any faith in them, so I'm only expecting an inch.
