I've been under a warning for both Blizzard and Snow for about 12 hours now. As I was typing that (while multi-tasking) it changed to a Watch. I'm now officially a happy camper.

I don't usually go by what they say, but I want to believe here at the coast will get at least half a foot, and be off school. I am going with the highest bidder! LOL

We are getting close to that point where I'd suggest we back off the models and just start watching the satellite and radar and surface reports to track this thing. Maybe the short range ones will have some value over the next few hours, but after that, reality is more accurate than virtual reality.

Couldn't agree more. Storms of this magnitude do some crazy last minute things many times in the middle of them, that's why I still can't be 100% comfortable. Maybe 99% ATM.

Agreed. And yeah, we're in the crosshairs as far as wind is concerned, J. I just drove from White Plains to Stamford and the signs on I 287 said winter storm warning's, and I was so pissed because that is incorrect LOL

Yeah, it's not for too long a period of time north of the city, but cuts totals and probably puts the ratio below 10:1 for a time

A fair point. I suppose it comes down to how much one trusts the NAM inside of 18 hours.

If this thing keeps going west, that just might happen.Can't believe the sharp cutoff from a foot in the city, to an inch on long island.
