Looks like I have about 4" or close to it here. Still primarily snow and the sound of sleet has abated so hopefully that was a temporary scare. If I can stay snow here until those heavy bands down south get here and I get to see some heavy wind blown snow after daylight, I'll call it a win.

5:30 am Tues morning and I threw the dog out so he could do his duties. I see about 7 inches. 23 degrees. A steady, light snow.

26* here at the top of College Hill in Easton and absolutely puking snow. Rough estimate is 5-6" so far with blowing and drifting. 1/4 mile visibility or less.

And because this is my 300th post, I thought I would indulge myself and say that the mets are going to be on TV today like they want to win Oscars but it looks like they have poor material to work with.

If I had known I'd be hearing sleet pelting my window right now while you were getting a blinding 30-plus" of snow, I'd have been in my car when the roads were clear and I'd have been up there. lol

The radar suggest the rain/snow line has not moved much. However, observations suggest the all snow and snow/sleet line is far further west

I am so dumb about these radar images. I cannot read them due to no understanding of what I see. So where might the snow/sleet line be this morning?

Went to sleep at 1 with a half inch on the ground just took the first measurement and its 6.5 inches so far, that's a sold pace for 5 hours.

21.2 degrees so my only fear now is the F'n mid levels. Hold the line NJ.

Looks like the heavier bands are starting to work north. Let's see if they are snow or sleet when they get to me in an hour.

For those that missed my announcement, I said f work and drove home late last night ahahaha my parents are furious, but oh well, this was something I would never forgive myself for missing and I'll deal with any consequences later; right now it's all about the fun and excitement hahaha

Woke up at 5:30 to about 2 inches of snow on the ground and rain hitting my windows. The WU page is telling me:

Expect occasional mixed precipitation to continue for the next several hours.

About 5:45am it changed back to snow.

I'm taking a brief nap. I'll get up at 7/7:15 when it's daylight and I can better assess what is going on outside my window. By then the heavier bands should be here.
