Certainly reminiscent in the forecast amounts. Reminds me a bit of the setup for the January 2016 storm (Jonas? can't remember winter storm names), which also was preceded by a minor storm a couple days before.

Nah. We won't jackpot but we will still get our share. On latest Euro Im about 11 inches with ratios and you maybe a little less. NWS Albany talking about 14:1 ratios so that will help offset less qpf.

The NAM in the last two runs has basically come around to the other models; which is to say (broadly speaking) it gives everyone a major snowstorm except extreme southeast NJ and points far north of the immediate NYC area.
