The maps on whats going on Sunday and Monday are all over the place. I'll be having Ice pellets and possibly freezing rain on Sunday. Monday mix since temps will almost be in mid 40s (high 40s in some places) then the temp will take a dive bomb to 2º and a high of 9º on Tuesday. Phew!

Measured 10 inches in 2 different spots. Sometimes our snow totals are different from Central Park. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Usually not 4 inches different though.
NWS just updated totals.
LaGuardia Airport 7.9
JFK 7.9
Newark airport 8.5
Idiot in CPK 6.4
And every news outlet around the world reports NYC got 6 inches of snow. I gotta let it go.

Thanks! Its nice to see a solid snow pack. Hopefully we can get through sun/mon without it all melting away. I want snow on the ground the whole winter! lol. Also nice job with the snow map Frank. Nailed it with my area, having me in the 10-15.

I think we wil survive it due to the make up of this snow - the light powdery element will actually act like a sponge is absorbing the water not so much melting it and then when the rapid freeze (flash freeze) hits then it ( teh wet snow what is left) will become like stone

Good. I hope you're right. Didn't know that about the light snow, interesting stuff!
