mugs u spoke the truth my friend : ). As I said am hoping next weekend pans out for us coastal dwellers, and your prediction of thanksgiving week is showing big signals, but warm as of now. Cannot wait for semester to be over so I can examine things more closely, not just surface maps, as I know so much more is involved.

It's ok, still looking hopefully to something next Sat, not going to be a fun week to be outside especially tuesday with those howling winds.
343 degrees? My God Jman get the hell out of there you'll fry. I need you alive to track Tuesday mornings winds which are going to cause my heart to stop on the trip home Tuesday morning. I'm already dreading it.

CP, when I flew years ago, I'd remedy those jitters with a Valium and two or three shots of bourbon.I was always 5000 feet above the plane then and could care less what happened. My man,you are a statistician and know it's safer to fly from GA to NY then going to Dunkin Donuts on Route 32 and back home.
38.1 degrees, 30.23 falling.

Art from what I have read from other posters like mugs and sroc (who mentioned he does not see temps moderating in the long range much), signs were showing a snowy event around that time, if its 60 degrees mugs will fail miserably! So I am going with the crowd I guess you could say.

I have always felt it is the not being in control. yes driving is much more dangerous but you are in control and try to avoid accidents. Do not fear the plane, turbulance is not fun but airplanes are made to handle it.

Re: November 2014 Obs and Discussion
I think winds are supposed to be worse on Tuesday than during the rain Wed if I am correct Frank looks like maybe 20-30mph with higher gusts from what I have seen in local forecasts. And that is a bit away from the coast. No wind advisories yet though, but they usually wait till the lat minute on those if they are going to issue one. With the last wind storm they didn't even issue advisories until the highest winds had already happened.

Re: November 2014 Obs and Discussion
Jman. The 25th storm and my idea that the warmth will be short lives should not be combined. If it cuts like it's been showing it will get warm out ahead maybe even 60's. But this storm or maybe the one after that resets the cold pattern.

Re: November 2014 Obs and Discussion
Very good point,Jman.I think that is probably 75% of the fear of flying, the surrendering of control to the pilot. And you're right, I was on a flight through a thunderstorm with lightening hitting the plane and the wings actually almost flapping and the plane got through just fine, obviously.CP will be back safely in the HV, you bet!

Re: November 2014 Obs and Discussion
Got ya sroc sorry for the misunderstanding. Still could be a heavy hitter with very high winds and rain per last nights Euro, backed off on the winds a bit today but still has heavy rain. man if that was snow we would be buring and in November! So I rescind my comment, maybe it will get that warm. Mugs promised a snowstorm that week, come on mugs u need to keep that crown lol

Doc: That stupid flight 25 years ago has made me a 210 pound chicken when it comes to flying. I've flown dozens of time since but never relaxed. I may try your remedy Tuesday.

What a shame that friggin' flight had to happen because you would be fine to this day. There will be no thunderstorms, just a little wind and it will be CLEAR so you are going to be in good shape buddy.

From your mouth to Gods ears Frank, and more often than not when it involves you and weather forecasting that seems to be the case.
