Still in low 40's here, the models may been wrong about snow for coastal areas, unless it happens later but its raining so everything will be wet it won't stick.

As of 8pm, 36 degrees and still the same conditions, slushy rain falling but not quite distinguished flakes to call it pure rain/snow mix or snow.

Temp down to 32.9* now. Snow picking up to a light snow now from mainly flurries before as the atmosphere moistens a little more. Hoping to get a coating. Areas to my west, where it started an hour ago are just over an inch now.

Gotta be further NW, according to your line I would be snow or at least rain/snow already. My interpretation.

It had that "snow" feel most of the day, damp, raw and thickening clouds.Still very early to have measurable snow.
Not where you live now it's not Doc. On average we usually get the first measurable snow around the 20th or so of November give or take a few days.
It's gonna take a few years to unlearn what you've learned, we may have to send you for reprocessing by years end if you're still having trouble with the adjustment. A few sessions with Snow Man and we'll get your thinking straight.

This system is packing quite a punch I must say. As temps continue to crash, everyone should at least see their first snow flakes of the season. Reports of accumulations already in higher elevations of NEPA and NWNJ.

Pouring at my house. I wasn't expecting precip to start this soon. Changeover should happen after midnight

Rain really picking up now temp crashing..from upper 40s to 40* right now.
that R/S line doesn't look that far west, looks slightly west of Paterson, NJ. It may actually make it here as a burst of wet snow...

It is near Pterson NJ, and creeping east, taking its time keep the faith. At this point I will be happy just to see it don't care about any accumulation we have plenty of time for that. Frank I noted its moving VERY slow to the NE, going to be a long light to moderate event, or maybe even some heavier like u said its pouring.

I didn't expect the rain to be this heavy with this system. It's absolutely disgusting in Manhattan; steady rain, stiff wind, and COLD. Oh how I wish this were snow!

soul the rain snow line is less than 30 miles from the area, temps here continue to drop and have picked up in pace in their drop.

Pouring. Moderate precip everywhere. See what happens when there is frontogenesis (lift). Mother Nature goes crazy

Yep def more impressive than I expected regardless of what type of precip it is doing right now. Frank I know we are focused on this but just a quick question, will you be making a thread for Monday? Even though it looks to stay just nrth runs have showed a strong system on and off and some down to coast with snow. IMO we should have a thread as its not really long range now. No back to the regularly scheduled precip
