It's starting to mix with snow in midtown. It's a bit back and forth but gradually changing.

All snow by the time I reached scarsdale with coating on grassy surfaces approaching White Plains. Basically about 5 miles north of city line its mostly snow.

Just saw a town truck out. Not there plow or salt setup. I would think they would be setting there snow removal equipment up.

Sleet in Great Neck NY on LI. Occasionally mixed with snow. Ground starting to look a little white in the moderate sleet. Maybe it will help cool the temps down by the surface so snow can accumulate faster later.

Temp went from 40 to 36 in last hour in midtown. I'm an operating engineer with a very accurate bms system to monitor outside air Temps to supply comfort cooling and heating to a commercial office building. Temp dropping very quickly and actually having a tough time keeping up.

This is all southern stream driven with some frontogenesis and a strong baroclinic zone. Without a deepening storm, dynamic cooling takes much longer to process.
