9.4 inches as of 10:30.

Still snowing lightly. Heavy wet snow that's clinging to everything.

Doc: You're relocation to the HV is an early success. It's not even Thankgsgiving and we've already had 2 measurable snows and almost a foot for the month.

Mugs: You have earned your crown king

at least until January but no more snow droughts like last March and end of February.

Snowman: I feel bad you're at the Jersey shore and missed this one, but you're with your mom and nothings better than that. I just got back last week from visiting my parents in Georgia. I'm grateful each time I get to see them.

Frank: Good job, your Orange County 8-12 prediction was right on the money. I'm not sure how the rest of your map went but when we get all of the totals tomorrow we'll see.

Very odd storm, I have no complaints but I'm sure many do. Lots of winter left, technically it hasn't even begun.

Happy Thanksgiving my weather family and friends. It's nice to have a place to go where everyone seems to have the same obsession.

Current radar from weather.com with current location (near Queens/Nassau county border). Not sticking, but still nice to see.

It looked like we could of got some acclumation near the coast but just when it started to stick that midday change back to rain ended all hope. Alot of worry about changing to snow, I didnt think much about maintaining that changeover.

one fresh killed 20lb turkey 40$. a bottle of cabernet sauvignon 70$. waking up to a snow covered lawn and flurries in the air PRICELESS! to all my fellow snow weenies have a blessed thanksgiving!

Didn't have much time to check in, but thank you all for a great job tracking this "Pre" Turkey Day storm that lived up to it's name for many on the coast - such a tough forecast and huge bust potential - Frank et al, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families!!!

The drizzle started here at 7am, turned to light snow at 10:35am, about an hour later big fat flakes, and around noon it all stopped for a bit over a half hour. The rest of the day went back and forth between rain and sleet with the temp hovering between 34 & 36 degrees. When I woke up today @ 4:30am the ground was dry and temp 38 degrees.

My husband was so happy! He's on vacation for the next 10 days and really didn't want to start it off having to dig out a car.
