All local METS believe all snow tomorrow afternoon will not stick due to sun angle Very little accumulation Can't figure

Highlight: "In NYC.. North NJ Long Island and coastal CT it looks like most of the precipitation will fall as snow but it may end as a period of sleet or freezing rain or just plain rain."

Re: Sunday Night-Monday Snow Event
I'm thinking 3-6 inches from CNJ north, with some 7, 8, inch spots and maybe even an isolated 9 inch spot somewhere in NNJ, LHV, and SWCT. Mainly snow from NYC on north.
Will have a final call map posted later.

Re: Sunday Night-Monday Snow Event
models for this storm always showed greater qpf for areas south and east and north east of nyc. the question was is there any mixing issues for coastal areas including nyc metro. why nws and other wx outlets showed heavier snow west and north west of city baffles me. 4" looked like max for orange, Sullivan dutchess co. in ny and n/w nj and north eastern pa. models consistently showed this. the best chance of 6" or more of snow was always due north and northeast of nyc, including north shore of li where qpf was greatest. question was will these areas stay all snow. trends are now colder for these areas and 6" seems likely now imo.

Re: Sunday Night-Monday Snow Event
Skins will this storm go south enough for us to see anything decent? News 12 has us as just a coating

Re: Sunday Night-Monday Snow Event
I believe we get more than a coating I think 1-3 is conservative but if it continues to trend south and colder that will increase snow amounts
