CP, like that old Frank Sinatra song......"All Or Nothing At All".

As for Dykstra, yeah, he shined that year but he turned out to be a dirtbag big time. Not only for his crimes off the field later on, but also for this story I heard outside of Shea Stadium from a fan in 1990.The guy and his 8 year old son were waiting in the runway back in '86 where the Mets players came out because the kid wanted Dykstra's autograph. When Dykstra walked by and the kid asked, he told the kid to go f--k himself.Real class act in front of an 8 year old kid and his father.

Wow! The Auburn/Alabama game was CRAZY! tied with 1 second left and Auburn catches a missed field goal in the endzone and brings it out for a TD! Love college football!

I'm glad Auburn won. Saban has had enough success. Watched a terrific Penn State Wisconsin game too.

Oh jeez, I hope so. Haven't seen or heard anything positive besides signing Moore, a re-tread outfielder. A little buzz about Granderson but that's it.

Apparently the Yankees haven't finished Christmas shopping yet, Matt Thorton was signed to shore up the bullpen, one of the best lefty specialists in the game right now.

Yeah Zoo, nice 'W' for your Packers. If Rogers had played all season I believe they would have finished at the top of the NFC. Not that Flynn did too terribly during his absence though. As they say, it doesn't matter where you start, it's how you finish, just ask this Giants fan haha!

I am 100% with you on the Pack Zoo. Rediculously great game. I love Aron Rodgers. My wife is a die hard Packers fan so by proxy since they are not a Giants rival they are my go to team when the Giants are out. Its a shame what happened to Pittsburg yesterday. They should have gotten in to that last wild card spot if it wasn't for a blatant missed call on a field goal attempt by the Chiefs in OT in the Chargers Chiefs game. If the right call was made the Chiefs have a second attempt at a field goal this time from 36 yrds (no gimme), to send the Chargers packing, and the Steelers to the playoffs Very exciting day of FB to say the least.

Any Penn state fans out there coach O'brien is history. They need to hire quickly and intelligently or they're gonna lose a really good recruiting class before the February signing date.

Personally I want the Vanderbilt Coach. The guys done an amazing job in the SEC with a school that has no football tradition in the toughest conference by far in the country.

I was pulling for the Packers yesterday, unfortunately due to the injuries (especially Clay Matthews) and the clock ran out, you came up short. I thought both teams played terrific and boy it must have been frigid in that stadium! Fun football all weekend.

I don't think I could do another Super Bowl with the 9ers, great team, I just can't stand Harbrough. I think they might have trouble with Carolina, their d is firing on all 8's but time will tell! Would love to see Peyton get another ring before he retires.

Seattle is going to be tough to beat in that stadium. New Orleans did however prove that they can actually win on the road when it counts, should be a fun game to watch. And let's see what the Panthers are made of in the post season.

Carolinas D might win them the game.  For some reason my gut seems to think Cam is going to choke.  We shall see.  It would be great to see Carolinas D up against Seattle's D in the NFC Championship game.

Arod just needs to shut up and go away, they agreed to arbitration and now because he didn't rule in his favor he's going to Federal Courts? What a joke....take your punishment like a man...

Pitchers and catchers report. For the Phillies that's next Thursday, 2/13. The first sign of spring. Realistically it doesn't look like it will be a good year for the Phils but there's always hope. A prime example of that is my basketball team, Villanova. Entering the season there weren't any great expectations. Now they're number 6 in the country. So I have hope. We'll see.

With the phillies, like the Yanks, it's about making sure the veterans stay healthy and perform.

True. And additionally the phillies seem to have a money constraint

What a helluva career the guy has had though. 600 something wins, 3 Stanley Cups all over 2 decades. Agree though, should've gone out on top.
