Re: Long Range Thread 15.0
Slow but steady changes to the NWS forecast for my area on LI. Two days ago We went from a forecast of 44 Sunday night and rain followed by 52 and showers on Christmas Day to this as of this morning with 4 days still left
Sunday Night A chance of rain before midnight, then rain and sleet likely between midnight and 3am, then rain, snow, and sleet likely after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Christmas DayA chance of snow showers, mixing with rain after 7am, then gradually ending. Partly sunny, with a high near 42. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Does the entire northeast get to join in on the fun or am I destined to be a spectator to your white gold mining jackpot?

Re: Long Range Thread 15.0
No coastal folks need to be upset over the maps rb posted. On these runs the computers don’t recognize LI and the Jersey Shore as land depending on where it’s downloaded from. We would ALL do exceptionally well if this verifies. I’ll take member #13 please and thank you

.....also I plan on spending 4-5 days between Christmas and New Years up at my parents house. They are the light blueish bullseye on almost every ensemble member posted with many over 24”.

Well, Jimmy, then expect 1 to 3 inches up there while you get 18 to 24 in LI when the storm takes the usual S and E direction!

Not as bad as Montreal where everything looks to get suppressed.

Track, you're fine lol first off, he's saying that the coast is not well-represented because the members of the ensemble are run at a much lower resolution than their operational counterparts, which means small areas like Long Island or the coastal plain where the gradient would be get washed out with respect to the details. All we are concerned with right now is that the there is a strong signal for a stormy pattern. To see widespread totals 1-1.5 feet on an ensemble through only 16 days is something that isn't very frequent, unless you're at high a pretty elevation like the northern mountains of Maine or out west. Don't worry about the details we would be driving ourselves beyond our already present level of insanity (lmao). Just know that the signal for a lot of snow for the entire region is there and growing, and we'll work out the details as we can for now, join us in the excitement of it all and enjoy the thrill!!!!

Your going to "dust off your blog" and "release something later"? Totally inappropriate Frank.

I'd be totally in agreement with you, Skins, except those aren't the operational runs. Those are the Ensembles aha very different in terms level of importance lmao
