Mostly wet out now. If there are lulls in the snow it ends up being for nothing. Need some uninterrupted mod to heavy snow

Nope...notice its all still moving SE to NW.  Once we get the pivot the real CCB will develop over LI somewhere and we will begin to see banding moving more from NE to SW.  H5 hasnt even closed off yet.

How can you say nope. Look at the radar you posted. The ocean is yellow and orange moving right into the s shore now

I’m over 1” so far. Everything getting covered. Parents in queens have nothing. Manhattan getting crushed. Weirf

In all likely hood anything N&W of the white line will not be affected by the dry slot.  As you can see by the current radar in motion above and the image below the bands affecting LI are rotating in from the SSE.  The band over NJ is from 700mb frontogenesis.  




Later today as the Low begins to move NE the entirte structure of the banding will change and we will begin to see the heaviest banding come in from the NE.  THAT is when we accumulate if we are going to.  

Getting very windy with mod snow at lga

Puking snow here now. EVerything has 4-5" on it. Here we go. Not a bust wasn't suppose to ramp up till noon is through 7/8pm

Got 3 inches in last hour closing in on 5! What a turnaround from before.

I have been under that band for like 1.5 hours. I have about 10 in on avg between the roof of my car and ground.

Just measured 8 inches on top of what we already had on the ground. It is coming down it 2 to 3 inches per hour right now and has been for the last 30 minutes.

I have just about 3" here, only been accumulating for just under two hours.

Major accident just outside my neighborhood, everyone being detoured off the main road through my neighborhood. Sleet and rain from before is now freezing with the falling snow. Temp 32.5

Same thing in Morristown, I just shoveled an hour ago to check the rate and there's another 3" on the ground

Pretty much done for me, any snow will be gone by around 4 and its still 34, and temp is going up again... No work for me it looks like since it barely stuck on anything but the grass... Any one want to send donations?

Still just pouring heavy snow here. If this continues at this rate until even 5 or 6 I should end up over 10".
