Much of what I laid out yesterday in terms of what H5 needs to do is coming to fruition today. I've liked the look of this threat for awhile. It can still be out to sea, but TV Mets discounting it are doing so prematurely

This is such a delicate setup. When the models yesterday were showing mainly a miss, we knew by looking at the H5 levels it would not be impossible for this to trend towards a monster storm. Frank you did mention a couple of days ago that we may see some crazy outputs by the models, and the Hi-res NAM is incredible. Saying that, I'm trying to temper my excitement. This could just as easily crap the bed and kick out to sea. Big runs at 0z tonight.

I would agree with him - Superstorm '93 was a well defined storm that formed in the Gulf of Mexico and hit Florida's west coast with a storm surge and severe weather that was amazing to see, before it made the turn and started heading North... it was a beast, as far as it's impacts IMBY, i received 17" of snow and some gusty winds, but far from the impacts i was expecting... This storm has potential to hit some people as hard if not harder IMO, but won't compare to the size or territory effected by '93

Ooommmggg 3km nam is a dream precip from NC to us!! By her 60 already 6 plus in NYC and omg the wind yes don't care go say it's it's a ripping one!! Yes could be a crazy output but this shows what is possible.

Just like we saw with the last 2 storms I think Hi-res models wil lead the way and LR will play catch up last minute. This is my opinion not a forecast.

I believe in I am correct in italian madonne is a way of saying OMG or wow!!! H5 is the upper levels at 500mb, which show things a lot better as I have learned from the pros on here. If i am wrong someone correct me.

Looks to be that time frame, see Franks scroll on top, unless that changes these are his main thoughts at this time. Godzilla is looking more likely but if hi res nam happened we would be back to a roidzilla for at least some. I still worry about accumulations along coastal areas and am really hoping this has the chance to be able to allow for a good dumping of snow here, at least a foot please.
