I find it hysterical that all morning News12 said we were only looking at 3-5” and now I’ve been watching for a half hour and they haven’t given any snow total amounts... chickens...

Damn straight. The March 1960 storm was 14.5 inches in the city, if they top that tomorrow. Oh happy Days.

Plus it would be the first one foot snowfall in spring in NYC.

Mikey (Eyore) he's a problem right now. He's been burned so many times this month he won't allow himself to get his hopes up. Without making this an OTI thing he needs your care.

LOL, mike we will be blasted on this one! Syo it is awesome I am pumped, but also concerned about the weight on the snow. that much snow on trees and wires wont bode well at all. And this has nothing to do with wind, though there is some moderate winds expected to worsen it even more.

He has 1 million frickin people - you will get yours they always close earlier than everyone else due to this. We may have an early dismissal LOL!!

NAVY is NW and is GFS - YUGE RED FLAGS why they have a SE bias and dry NW Flank - death band is further NW and just stalls like the NAM. Do not discount this.

I know I’m going to get yelled at for this but I wouldn’t mind losing power. I’m prepared. I don’t want anyone hurt or any elderly suffering but part of me LOVES THE CHAOS when it snows because of all the unprepared mutants around me that can’t function. Here a pic of my current situation

Frank- are you surprised blizzard warnings haven't been posted? I know the criteria required to have a blizzard...is it because the snow is such a wet, heavy snow there won't be near zero visibilities for 3 hours? The wind forecast certainly screams blizzard.

I’m surprised but it’s just semantics. If the NWS says blizzard warnings and you experience it is it any different than if they don’t say blizzard warnings and you still experience it?

Point well taken.

By the way James, you never followed up on my PM for a round of golf on Long Island!

Winds will be not at the threshold from what they are saying 35 mph for 3 consecutive hour sustained - so when you look out yuor window you 'll see 15' instead of 1' LOL. They may still hoist them later tonight or manana if teh GFS, GEFS, NAVY and NAM trends continue

I shoveled 17 inches of snow on March 1960 from the house on Fort Lee NJ so I can verify that.

Looks like I 84 is the cutoff up here for the heavy stuff.Hoping to get 8 inches out of this to clear 80 inches for the season, something I have never witnessed.Had 79 in Mahwah NJ for the 95-'96 winter.

Great to see J Man and Al, the Jersey Shore Crew and the LI crowd get blasted. What a great day tomorrow is going to be on the board here! May the models trend even better.

Right now, cloudy up here.
