Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
The subsidence in NE NJ is real. Nothing but flurries in eastern Passaic County since about 4:30pm.

I love how NWS likes to toy with an entire area, though in reality its very localized.SoulSingMG wrote:jmanley32 wrote:Still nothing here.
We're done for this storm, Jman. A band was bound to set up and you're either lucky and caught under it or on either side of it in the screw zone. Congrats Long Island tho, getting walloped right now.

Re: March Madness! Spring Snowstorm Observations Part II
Looks like the 500 mb low is more north and hugging the coast , it’s just about to trap the 700 mb and 850mb lows.
You gotta love this real time action!

That band is just parked over us and continuing to rotate over us. We will make a run at a foot if this continues

Yes ZHU, you seem to be in that banding fron N Passaic county down into Clinton land, looks like radar filling in over Essex and Bergen counties, def in response to the 500 mb low closer to the coast and trapping the other upper level lows I just spoke about

This storm has given people so much agita but it looks like it's going to do what it intended to. Meanwhile, I've been so anxious I'm half a nutella jar deep

Lol. Frank this storm has been exhausting. I think we need a new rating system for how difficult a storm is: a 1/2 Nutella jar storm, a 1 Nutella jar storm, or a 2Nutella jar storm.
